We were walking down Khaosan Road. Khaosan road is a street in Thailand where people go to do literally everything. You can dance, drink, eat, shop, mingle, hard core party- literally anything! There was music, instruments, and laughter. There were many, many people talking. People walking in every which direction, we had to basically scream to hear each other. Individuals were calling out their merchandise, waving their hands for you to come look at their arts, jewelry, and fake brand names purses. We walked for a while, sometimes stopping to buy a shirt or candy. We were all getting pretty hungry, Connie, Brandon, me and Maryan. So the smell of food was intriguing.

We came to a cart where an old man presented us with all kinds of bugs. All kinds of different insects, to eat! We all looked at the bugs saying “UGH” “EW” “hell naw” and Maryan was like “I think I’m going to buy that one” . Brandon, Connie and I all looked at Maryan like you are crazy, but after discussing- and getting persuaded by Maryan- we all tried bugs. I remember I had something like a grasshopper, it honestly wasn’t bad. But Brandon and Maryan had bugs that had guts and they were both gaging in disgust. The rest of the night was hazy , as we started picking up beers around the booths, and random restaurants. But I remember it being really fun.
